Morgan codec help.

Easy video capture with VIDCAP.

With this method you don't need an expensive capture card like Rainbow Runner, Buz, marvel or Miro/Pinnacle DC serie ; you can capture video with budget TV cards (Miro/Pinnacle PCTV, Hauppauge WinTV, Guillemot maxi TV pci2...).

 

a) Download VIDCAP here. (VIDCAP is a freeware program).

b) Extract vidcap.exe from the Zip archive in a directory.

c) Launch vidcap.exe.

 

 

 

d) Set the video and sound capture parameters.

 

-In the 'capture' menu click on 'video'.

-Set the frame rate.

e) Open the video control panel by clicking on [Video...]

-Set the capture format (YUY2 or YUV 422 mode should work properly).

f) Come back to step d) and click on [Audio...].

-Set the audio quality.

g) Click ok, and [Compress...] in the 'capture video sequence window'.

-Choose the 'Morgan Multimedia MJPEG 32-bits codec' in the compressor list.

-Set the Compression quality.

h) Begin the capture by clicking OK.

i) Right-click to stop.
